Not sure if you can run it externally or not in a Flashdrive unless you can install it on a flash drive. The program regularly updates but when ever you run it it will notify you of a newer version. It is small and I would keep it installed on your computer for future use.

Download driver. To make sure, disconnect now and reconnect the AMD device again, and maybe this time the driver will be downloaded.
