Most new Windows 7 computers come from their manufacturers with Office Starter already on them, did yours? If so, the installation files might still be on the hard disk drive or might be available from the computer’s recovery partition or recovery discs.

Best to ignore advice that says, “Hey, just go to file share site and download and install it, tee hee! Starter is being replace by Office Web Apps. In reply to Howard chan’s post on June 22, So you don’t think it’s outside the realm of possibility that malicious code could be injected into that download file, huh? Kidding for asking the files I can’t even get it now. The new TOPK doesn’t include it. Forget it. But excuse me, I’ve never heard an example of malicious code on the setup executable. I’ve been reading that too. Apparently they will be switching to Office Web Apps as the “free” distributable.
